Title: Documentation Specialist – IT Security and Support
Company: TECO Services
State and City: Florida  –  Tampa
Shift: 8 Hr. X 5 Days

 

This position combines technical writing, IT controls knowledge, and security awareness.  This specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining technical and business documentation, training, and communication materials for internal and external (commercial publication) use.  A significant portion of the documentation is related to information technology controls, including IT compliance and security.  Documentation must target the correct audience and be written effectively so that it accomplishes the intended results.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Produce a variety of written publications in a variety of media: IT policies, standards, procedures, instructions, training materials/courses, job aids/quick reference items, reports, presentations, catalogs, articles, diagrams, charts, posters, brochures, booklets, forms, web content.  Content development ranges from security awareness materials and compliance related courses to system instructions.
  2. Maintain, edit, and update documents that are periodically published and manage the documentation process for multiple projects.  The documentation process includes creation, revision, publication, and maintenance of the IT Production Document Library, a controlled library.  Maintain the IT Security Awareness Program.
  3. Provide writing services, including  research. Interview appropriate people such as security analysts, compliance analysts, programmers, engineers, technicians, managers, and attend project meetings.
  4. Conduct careful analysis to design and write the documentation associated with the project, determining purpose, audience, information to be conveyed, graphics, media, etc.
  5. Maintain proficient knowledge of IT&T and business processes, current business applications, and software/hardware technology. Participate in ongoing professional education to maintain awareness of writing and publication concepts.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required:            Bachelor degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science or related field.

 

Preferred:           Bachelor degree in communications or information technology related discipline.

 

Direct Experience

Required:           Minimum of two years’ experience as a documentation, communication, technical writing specialist, or other technology role with strong writing skills, including but not limited to security analyst, compliance analyst, or auditor.

 

Preferred:          Two years of direct IT controls (e.g., compliance, security, or auditI experience).  Exposure to compliance, security, audit and/or risk-related fields and demonstrated understanding of how language needs to be positioned to demonstrate compliance and ability to evaluate IT risk. Exposure to utility and/or regulatory environment. Familiarity with COBIT, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security-related standards, regulatory security standards such as North American Electrical Reliability Coroporation (NERC) Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP), Sarbanes-Oxley IT General Controls, Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standards, HIPAA, Privacy or others.

 

Licensing/Certification

Required:      Expected to obtain Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification within 6 months of employment in this position.

Preferred:     Current ITIL Certification.  Current Technical Writing or related certification.  COBIT, Security, and/or Audit certifications a plus.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSA)

Required:

  • Information analysis, target-audience analysis

ReliaQuest is currently seeking entry and mid-level Security professionals to begin immediately for SOC Analyst role here in Tampa, FL. The position will require monitoring and resolving unique, complex, enterprise environments to deliver strategic cyber security solutions to internal and external customers (commercial and federal projects across the U.S. with Fortune 1000 and various government agencies/organizations).

Responsibilities:
    • Technical training will be provided and guidance in best practices of security solutions/applications
    • Work to monitor customers networks including SIEM, IDS, IPS, Firewall, FIM, NAC. Windows/Linux servers, routers, switches, etc.
    • Identify and eliminate viruses, malware, and any other potentially unwanted programs

Responsibilities:
    • Work side by side with ReliaQuest Sales team members throughout the selling process by participating in business development calls
    • Analyze client’s needs and scope solutions accordingly
    • Design, present and demonstrate Information Security solutions throughout the sales cycle, technologies include SIEM, IDS/IPS, End Point Security, Application Security, Network Access Control, etc.
    • Responding to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and also assist the ReliaQuest Sales team proposal team scope and create Statements of Work (SOWs)
    • Provide training and guidance to client’s information technology staff as needed
    • Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Requirements:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
    • At least three years of experience in a pre or post sales capacity within an IT security environment
    • Must have 3-5 years of experience with SIEM technologies: ArcSight, QRadar, McAfee SIEM, Logrhythm, Splunk, AlienVault etc.
    • Expert knowledge of security architecture design and implementatio

  • Security Engineer (Offensive Security)

Security Engineer Assesses risk exposure and level of compliance with various security and industry standards from both an external and internal perspective. They are responsible for providing security assessments and penetration testing of enterprise environments as well as security research and development of security tools, processes and testing methodologies. They will be an essential part of our research and development team and work with our Lab with security research, malware analysis, threat intelligence, and developing proprietary security solutions. This Engineer will be provided with the opportunity to receive training and experience in the different areas of security including SIEM, forensics, risk assessment, and Application Security.

Responsibilities:
    • Develop methodologies to assess risk and compliance levels based on current industry standards
    • Manage assessment engagements to ensure tasks are completed timely, and issues are promptly addressed
    • Develop relationship with client before, during, and after onsite fieldwork
    • Develop and maintain internal documentation to help sales and delivery teams consistently and efficiently execute tasks (i.e. report templates and QA checklists, assessment guides, sales engineering guides, etc.)
    • Provide accurate, complete and timely written documentation for all project phases including ongoing status reports and deliverables detailing technical issues identified and their associated business risks.
Technical Requirements:
    • 3-5 years of experience performing vulnerability assessments, penetration tests or assessment services to enterprise organizations typically obtained in
    • Knowledge of most common cyber security compliance standards (PCI, HIPAA, SOC 1 and 2, ISO)
    • Knowledge of current industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security assessment, monitoring, detection and remediation tools using standards-based concepts and capabilities
    • Knowledge of current IT security news and threats
    • Ability conduct open source research to solve problems
    • Knowledge of many/most of the following tools: nmap, netcat, wireshark, Core Impact, metaspolit, Qualys/NeXpose, Nessus, AppDetective.
    • Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to travel to client sites within required region
    • Excellent, detailed writing skills
    • Ability to demonstrate good Attitude, Energy, and Effort.
Desired Skills:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Technical field highly preferred, or relevant years of experience.

The position will require stepping in to unique, complex, enterprise environments to deliver strategic cyber security solutions to our customers (commercial and federal projects across the U.S. with Fortune 1000 and various government agencies/organizations. Responsibilities:
    • The Security Engineer will work to deliver services on client engagements and expand services for current customers.
    • The Engineer will have the opportunity to cross train on other technologies used by customers including SIEM, incident response, risk/vulnerability assessment, IDS/IPS, etc.
    • Within specific projects, the Security Engineer is responsible for managing individual utilization, meeting customer expectations, and driving completion of items outlined in the statement of work (SoW) and associated project plans.
    • Service offerings focus on the development and implementation of security operations centers (SOC);long-term security analysis support; long-term SIEM engineering support for development of use cases and custom content to match customer business requirements.
    • Perform as the subject matter expert on SIEM software and industry best practices around Security Operations for the customer
